Full job description
We’re seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage financial records, ensure compliance with U.S. accounting standards, and support financial decision-making for our growing eCommerce business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger and sub-ledgers
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Handle accounts payable/receivable, inventory, and bank reconciliations
- Assist with tax filings and compliance with U.S. GAAP
- Analyze financial data to improve profitability
- Work closely with operations and marketing to track expenses and ROI
- Manage sales tax filings across multiple U.S. states
- Collaborate with external CPA firms for audits or end-of-year filings
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 4–5 years of accounting experience (preferably in eCommerce or retail)
- Strong knowledge of QuickBooks, Xero, or NetSuite
- Understanding of U.S. sales tax and eCommerce accounting practices
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical, and organizational skills
- Strong verbal and written communication in English
Preferred:
- Experience with Amazon, Shopify, Walmart or other eCommerce platforms
- Familiarity with tools like A2X, Avalara, Gusto, Bill.com
