Designation : System & Network Administration
Key Responsibilities:
· System Administration:
o Install, configure, and maintain Windows/Linux servers and enterprise applications.
o Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
o Monitor system performance and ensure data backups and disaster recovery plans are in place.
o Apply security patches and updates to maintain compliance and system integrity.
o Manage cloud environments (Azure, AWS).
o Troubleshoot server, hardware, and software-related issues.
· Network Administration:
o Network Design and Configuration: Manage LAN/WAN, VPNs, and firewalls, ensuring high availability, redundancy, and failover.
o Layer 1 and Layer 2 Management: Install, troubleshoot, and maintain network cabling, switches, routers, and modems. Configure VLANs, STP, and Link Aggregation.
o Firewall and Security: Implement and manage firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and NAC to enforce security policies and protect the network.
o Traffic Optimization: Monitor and optimize bandwidth, reduce latency, and prioritize critical applications using QoS and traffic shaping.
o Configure, deploy, and optimize Ubiquiti enterprise-grade hardware.
o Conduct periodic wireless site surveys to enhance coverage and capacity while minimizing interference.
o Monitoring and Wireless Management: Use tools like Unifi Controller to monitor network health and manage wireless access points effectively.
· Security and Compliance:
o Implement security best practices and manage endpoint security solutions.
o Conduct regular audits, vulnerability assessments, and risk management.
o Ensure compliance with security standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, and GDPR.
o Monitor security alerts, respond to incidents, and apply corrective actions.
· Technical Support and Troubleshooting:
o Provide Level 2/3 technical support for system and network-related issues.
o Collaborate with the IT Support/Helpdesk team to resolve escalated technical problems.
o Document system and network changes, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
· Project Management and Collaboration:
o Assist in the planning and implementation of infrastructure projects.
o Collaborate with cybersecurity, application development, and compliance teams.
o Evaluate and recommend new technologies to enhance system and network performance.
· Qualifications and Requirements:
Education:
o Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
o Equivalent professional experience will be considered.
· Technical Skills:
o Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Linux environments.
o Proficiency in managing Active Directory, Group Policy, and DNS/DHCP.
o Hands-on experience with network protocols, VLANs, VPNs, and firewalls.
o Expertise in managing cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
o Familiarity with security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST) and security tools.
· Experience:
o 3–5 years of experience in system and network administration.
o Proven experience with enterprise-level IT infrastructure and network environments.
o Experience with firewall configuration and security management.
· Preferred Certifications:
o Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
o Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or higher
o VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
o CompTIA Network+ or Security+
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: Up to ₹80,000.00 per month
