Job in Brief:
We’re looking for a dynamic and results-driven Deputy Manager – Marketing to lead and execute retail marketing initiatives for our baby products brand. This is a hands-on role that blends strategic thinking with on-ground execution to drive brand visibility, footfalls, and sales across our retail stores.
Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:In-Store & Local Marketing:
- Plan and execute monthly in-store promotional campaigns, festival activations, and special day events.
- Drive store-level footfall through hyperlocal outreach, influencer partnerships, local advertising, and PR.
- Establish community engagement initiatives with schools, clinics, and parenting groups.
- Oversee store branding, signage, and point-of-sale displays.
- Align store managers with upcoming campaigns by sharing plans in advance.
- Implement local area marketing best practices and maintain marketing SOPs.
Brand & CRM Campaigns:
- Manage loyalty programs to increase repeat purchases and enhance customer lifetime value.
- Plan and execute seasonal campaigns and promotional offers to drive footfall and inventory movement.
- Build brand affinity by effectively communicating brand values and campaign messaging.
- Monitor competitor activity and develop counter-strategies.
Digital & Social Media:
- Coordinate with agencies and designers to develop high-quality creatives and content.
- Lead digital campaigns across social media, optimizing for engagement and conversions.
- Build and nurture online parenting communities to strengthen brand connection.
- Plan and execute performance-focused digital media plans.
Collaboration & Reporting:
- Work closely with merchandising, operations, and store teams to ensure marketing alignment with business goals.
- Analyze customer data, market trends, and local opportunities for targeted growth.
- Support new store launches with marketing strategy and execution.
- Lead and mentor a small marketing team, ensuring timely execution and KPI tracking.
Strategy & Budget Management:
- Develop and monitor marketing budgets, ensuring cost-effective execution.
- Lead vendor development for marketing material production and agency support.
- Contribute to strategic planning with senior leadership on branding, expansion, and product launches.
Requirements
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- 5–7 years of experience in retail, FMCG, or consumer marketing (store-level and brand).
- Proven success in executing integrated marketing campaigns (offline + digital).
- Strong understanding of customer engagement strategies and CRM.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and project management skills.
- Proficiency in working with creative agencies, influencers, and digital marketing platforms.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate insights into actionable plans.
