Full job description

Horizon Technology Partners is seeking a part time consultant to advise on a new secure communications product in development four use by private industry leveraging Post Quantum Encryption technology. We are seeking a consultant who can advise on such a project with experience in this area from a software perspective to support our client.

Quantum Experience

- Two to four years of experience in quantum-safe cryptography; specifically algorithms for quantum key distribution and post-quantum cryptography.

o Demonstrated experience in implementing one or more of proposed QKD algorithms for either research or commercialization

o Demonstrated experience in implementing one or more of the proposed NIST Post Quantum Cryptography algorithms

- Two to four years experience in design, development, and test quantum-safe applications. Experience in one or more areas:

o Demonstrated experience in mobile applications for messaging

o Demonstrated experience in database applications

o Demonstrated experience in streaming and interactive environments, including streaming video

- Experience with design and assessment tools for quantum-safe applications

o Demonstrated experience in quantum-safe simulation tools such as OptSim or OptiSystem

- Experience with vulnerability assessments and red-teaming quantum-safe applications

Programming Experience

- Python, C, C++

- ARM, RISC or Intel-based devices

- Digital signal processing applications

- Security applications dealing with authentication or data protections

- Embedded development and testing experience

Education

- Bachelor in either Physics, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Enginering/Science with five years experience OR

Masters in Computer Engineering with at least two years of experience
