*Job Summary:*

We are looking for an experienced Application Packaging Consultant/Engineer to support the delivery and maintenance of application packages for virtual desktop environments. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of application packaging tools, scripting, and deployment processes in both on-premises and cloud-hosted VDI platforms.

*Key Responsibilities:*

Package and repackage software applications for deployment in VDI/cloud environments (e.g., Citrix, AVD, VMware Horizon).
Use industry-standard tools (e.g., AdminStudio, InstallShield, Flexera, Microsoft App-V, MSIX, PSADT) to create reliable and efficient application installers.
Perform compatibility assessments, conflict analysis, and remediation for packaged applications.
Collaborate with application owners and end users to gather requirements and perform UAT.
Deploy and test applications in non-production and production virtual desktop environments.
Ensure packages adhere to security and compliance standards.
Maintain packaging documentation, version control, and change records.
Automate deployment workflows using tools like SCCM, Intune, or Azure Automation.
Troubleshoot application behavior in VDI environments, including issues related to user profiles, group policies, and performance.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of packaging standards and deployment practices.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
3+ years of experience in application packaging and deployment in enterprise environments.
Experience with VDI technologies such as:
Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)
Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops
VMware Horizon
Custom data mapping and custom integrations
Proficiency in packaging tools like:
AdminStudio / InstallShield
Microsoft App-V / MSIX
PowerShell App Deployment Toolkit (PSADT)
Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, VBScript, or Batch scripting.
Experience with deployment tools such as Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM) and Intune.
Familiarity with cloud-based environments (Azure, AWS) is an advantage.
Solid understanding of Active Directory, GPOs, user profile management (FSLogix, Citrix UPM, etc.).
Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or Modern Desktop Administrator
Citrix Certified Associate – Virtualization (CCA-V)
ITIL Foundation (for change and incident management awareness)
