Job Summary
As an Insights Analyst in the Analytics, Insights, and Data (AID) team, you will be playing a dual role: supporting strategic research across Sellmark’s global brands while ensuring the successful delivery of enriched, validated sales leads from the U.S. firearms and tactical gear market.
You will transform raw data into structured, actionable insights –validating lead information scraped from platforms like Google Maps, FFL registries and YELP – and contribute to larger research initiatives such as market sizing, segmentation, and competitive analysis. This role blends analytical rigor with investigative creativity and is ideal for someone who thrives in a lean, fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties and Tasks
- Clean and validate raw lead data scraped by the engineering team
- Use enrichment tools to find and verify contact names, phone numbers, email, and more
- Tag businesses by product categories and markets served
- Maintain and clean master lead datasets with strict attention to duplication, completeness and formatting
- Collaborate with engineers to collect, clean, and structure large datasets from Amazon, suppliers, and competitor websites
- Build dashboards and trackers in Excel, Sheets or SAP for internal teams
- Conduct studies including market sizing, CGRR analysis, brand awareness, sentiment analysis, etc., with guidance.
- Collect, clean, and structure large datasets from multiple sources (Amazon, supplier databases, competitive websites) using automation, scraping. (Manual data collection is not expected)
- Analyze trends and prepare reports for various requesting teams across the organization.
- Build dashboards or trackers in Excel/Google Sheets, or SAP.
- Collaborate with requesters to understand underlying forces, create stories, and guide decisions with data.
- Conduct Market Sizing, Regression Modeling, Forecasting, CGRR analysis, Path to Purchase, Sentiment, Brand Awareness and more studies with guidance.
- Interpret trends, structure findings, and develop data-backed business stories
- Partner with leadership to deliver insights that guide product development, sourcing, and strategy
