About Us
We are a leading SaaS company creating a CRM platform designed for the solar industry. Join us to build a new reporting and dashboard platform that delivers actionable insights for solar businesses, from lead generation to project completion.
Role Overview
As a Data Engineer, you will design and optimize data pipelines for our CRM’s reporting and dashboard platform. You will focus on data modeling and pipeline performance to enable real-time analytics for solar-specific metrics, such as solar project ROI, lead conversion rates, and installation timelines.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable data pipelines to process and transform CRM data for the solar industry.
- Build and optimize ETL/ELT processes to ensure data accuracy and availability for reporting dashboards.
- Model data for analytics, creating schemas tailored to solar metrics (e.g., project pipelines, energy output forecasts).
- Integrate the platform with analytics tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI) and data warehousing solutions (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift).
- Ensure data quality, governance, and compliance with regulations like GDPR and CCPA.
- Collaborate with backend engineers to streamline data flow from CRM systems to dashboards.
- Monitor and optimize pipeline performance for high-throughput, real-time analytics.
- Implement data security measures, including encryption and access controls, for sensitive solar customer data.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of experience in data engineering, preferably in a SaaS or analytics-focused environment.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB).
- Expertise in data pipeline tools (e.g., Apache Kafka, Fivetran, Stitch) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
- Experience with data warehousing (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery) and analytics tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau).
- Knowledge of data modeling techniques (e.g., star schemas, dimensional modeling) for reporting.
- Familiarity with data governance and compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
- Strong analytical skills and ability to troubleshoot complex data issues.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with CRM data analytics or solar industry data (e.g., lead scoring, project ROI analysis).
- Familiarity with real-time data processing and streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka, Spark).
- Knowledge of Python or R for data processing and analytics.
- Experience with DevOps tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) for pipeline deployment.
